Content marketing and health clinics: how can you stop being a well-kept secret?

Running one of the best healthcare businesses in your field without being widely known is not uncommon. So you need to make yourself known. There are ways to become visible online other than traditional advertising: you need to establish an editorial strategy, that is, build content marketing by creating, distributing and sharing relevant information through various online media.

You may already have a blog. However, content marketing isn’t limited to blogging: social media, videos and infographics are all ways to make your healthcare business known. Like your blog, your editorial strategy lets you show a different side of yourself and attract prospects if you know how to make the most of it. It doesn’t focus on selling your products and services, even if that’s the ultimate goal: it makes you visible and appealing.

The art of distributing your content marketing?

The possibilities go far beyond the few examples we’ve selected below. But here are some of the most effective.

0— The business blog.

You know about it from our post on business blogs, and you know how relevant it is for your healthcare business. Don’t neglect it.

1— Social media

Whatever your healthcare business’s area of specialization, it’s important to claim your name on social media. This lets you control your image. When it comes to content marketing, by creating original content or sharing relevant content, you have a chance to demonstrate your knowledge of the field, the quality of your customer service and your company’s personality. What’s more, if an unpleasant surprise comes up at the last minute, it’s an excellent way to let your clientele know.

Some networks even let you schedule your posts and publish them at a time of your choosing. Others help people find you through keywords.

2— Videos

Videos are popular with part of the population, and you may be tempted to give them a try. Don’t forget to consider the challenges of this medium: not only must it deliver information likely to interest your client, but it must also present it in a visually appealing way to hold their attention. Videos also require specific equipment and software.

There’s no point in shooting the most informative video if it bores the prospect or client: they won’t finish watching it.

3— Press infographics (or simply infographics)

Infographics are digital images that use diagrams to make various short pieces of information on a given topic accessible to readers. They catch the eye and are readily shared on social media.

Don’t forget to put your logo or name on them, since they provide lasting visibility. Who knows whether a prospect might come across your infographic two years from now and come to you because of it?

Writer’s block?

If you don’t know what to write about, ask yourself: What questions do your clients ask you regularly? What are their uncertainties or fears? What interests them about your service? Has your business just invested in a new technology? Take the opportunity to present it and explain how it’s useful in your area of expertise.

Target questions you know how to answer and that matter to your target clientele. You have the chance to provide new, value-added information. Don’t let your competitor seize the opportunity!
