Privacy policy
Last updated: October 14, 2026
Virus Santé Communication Inc. respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect on this site, why, how we protect it and how to exercise your rights, in accordance with Quebec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25).
What we do with your personal information
1. Person in charge of the protection of personal information
Jean-François Proteau, founder of Virus Santé Communication Inc., is the person in charge of the protection of personal information. For any question about this policy or to exercise your rights, contact him:
- by email: jeff@viruscomm.ca;
- by mail: Virus Santé Communication Inc., 3684 rue Hochelaga, Montréal, Quebec H1W 1J3;
- by phone: (514) 649-3639.
2. Information we collect
We collect the information you send us through the site’s forms (“Contact us” and “Get a free assessment”): your name, your email address, your phone number (optional), the name of your clinic or business (optional), the subject and your message.
If you write to Élodie, our assistant (the chat bubble at the bottom of the screen), we also receive your messages. Audience measurement and advertising tools also collect browsing data (section 5).
These forms are for business inquiries. Please do not send us information about your health or about patients this way.
3. Why we use it
We use this information to answer your request, prepare the assessment or quote you asked for and, if you become a client, follow up on our business relationship. We do not sell it and do not use it for any other purpose without your consent.
4. How it is handled and retained
When you submit a form, your message is sent by email to the Virus Santé Communication team. The site itself keeps no copy and records no personal information in its logs. Only the team members who handle inquiries have access to it.
We keep your information for as long as needed to handle your request and follow up on the business relationship, then destroy it: retention period to be specified by the agency.
We use service providers for website hosting and email: provider names and storage locations to be specified by the agency, including any storage outside Quebec.
5. Cookies, audience measurement and advertising
On your first visit, a banner asks for your consent to the cookies that are not needed for the site to work. You can accept all, reject all or choose by category, and change your mind at any time with the cookie button shown at the bottom of the screen. This banner is provided by CookieYes, which keeps your choice in a cookie.
With your consent, the site uses:
- Google Analytics (“analytics” category): statistical measurement of site traffic (pages viewed, where visits come from, type of device);
- Google Ads (“advertising” category): measuring how well our ads perform, for example a form sent or a call started from the site, and showing our ads on other sites.
The site also loads the Meta pixel (Facebook and Instagram) as soon as you visit, before your choice in the banner: it sends Meta the pages you view, to measure our campaigns and show you our ads on Facebook and Instagram. You can limit this use in the ad settings of your Facebook or Instagram account, or by blocking third-party cookies in your browser.
Google Analytics and Google Ads are loaded by Google Tag Manager. These tools receive browsing data (IP address, browser identifiers, pages viewed), never the content of your forms. Google and Meta may process this data outside Quebec, under their own policies. Until you give your consent, Google only receives cookieless signals, as provided by its consent mode.
Élodie is a Virus Santé Communication service. Your messages are used to answer you and to improve our answers: do not write any information about your health or about patients. conversation retention period and service provider to be specified by the agency.
So that the introduction video is not shown to you again for 10 days, the site stores in your browser (local storage) the date on which it played (one date per video). These dates do not identify you and are not sent to anyone. You can delete them at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser.
Like any website, our host keeps technical logs (IP address, page requested, date and time) used for security and to keep the site running: log retention period to be specified.
Links to our social media, the client portal and our clients’ websites lead to third-party sites, which have their own policies.
6. Security
The site is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and the form is protected against automated submissions. The people who work for us are required to keep your information confidential. Since no measure is foolproof, some risk always remains when information is transmitted over the Internet.
7. Your rights
You may at any time ask to access the personal information we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, or withdraw your consent to its use. Send your request to the person in charge of the protection of personal information (section 1); we respond within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may file a complaint with the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec.
8. Changes
We may update this policy, in particular if we change our measurement or advertising tools. The date of the last update appears at the top of the page.
